The role

The Product Specialist is responsible for the operational support, maintenance and continuous improvement of enterprise digital platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365 products and Oracle Fusion enterprise systems (ERP, EPM and HCM).

This role ensures that core business systems and workplace productivity tools operate reliably, securely and efficiently, supporting critical finance, people and corporate processes across the organisation. The Product Specialist works closely with business users, vendors and technical teams to manage incidents, coordinate upgrades, test changes and deliver enhancements that improve system performance and user experience.

With a strong customerfocused mindset, the role plays a key part in supporting adoption of M365 and enterprise systems, providing training, guidance and documentation, and identifying opportunities to better digitise and streamline business processes through technology.

The team

APRA’s Technology team delivers, maintains, and enhances essential information technology services that support the organisation's productivity, strategic objectives, and business unit priorities.

Technology partner with stakeholders to design, implement and maintain IT solutions that meet the needs of the organisation and ensuring these are secure and aligned with APRA’s technology architecture.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daytoday product support and operational management for Microsoft 365 services and Oracle Fusion enterprise systems (ERP, EPM and HCM).

  • Actively manage incidents, service requests and defects, working with vendors, integrators and internal teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate and support Oracle Fusion upgrades, patches and configuration changes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Support the ongoing improvement of M365 workplace applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Copilot, Power Platform and related services.

  • Plan, execute and support testing activities, including functional, regression and user acceptance testing for system changes and releases.

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities to optimise and digitise business processes using enterprise platforms.

  • Support system integrations between Oracle Fusion, M365 and other enterprise applications.

  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials and guidance to support effective system use and adoption.

  • Monitor system performance and usage, escalating risks and improvement opportunities to product and platform leads.

To work with us, you must be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a defence clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.

About you

  • Proven experience in a Product Specialist, Application Support Analyst or similar role within a complex organisation.

  • Handson experience supporting Microsoft 365 products, including Teams, SharePoint, Copilot and Power Platform.

  • Experience supporting Oracle Fusion enterprise systems, with exposure to one or more of ERP, EPM or HCM.

  • Understanding of enterprise SaaS platforms, release cycles, patching and vendorled upgrades.

  • Experience managing production incidents, service requests and enhancements using tools such as ServiceNow.

  • Experience planning and performing functional, regression and user acceptance testing.

  • Ability to analyse issues, coordinate resolutions and communicate clearly with technical teams, vendors and business users.

  • Strong customer service mindset with a focus on reliability, usability and continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery approaches and collaboration tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
